Understanding the Approval Tab

Once a DPIA has been completed the Approval tab provides an area for the owner of the DPIA to add an Executive Summary and then request approval from certain contributors.

Executive Summary

The Executive Summary pie charts use information that has been entered throughout the DPIA. This gives you a summary of any outstanding tasks, the final Risk Ratings and current Reviews.

Executive Summary Information

The Executive Summary Information is a free text box that allows the user to enter a summary of your DPIA. Before the Author requests approval from reviewers it is recommended that the Executive summary be completed as this information will be included in the email notification sent to reviewers requesting their approval.

Approval Requests and Responses

The Approval Requests and Responses list the member of the DPIA who have been asked for their Approval. The DPIA will be locked down once the approval process has been started and so no further changes can be made to your DPIA
