Unable to Access Data Flows that have a connected DPIA

11/02/2025

Users are experiencing an error when trying to open Data Flows that sit underneath a Data Sharing Summary that is linked to a DPIA. Our developers are currently working on a fix for this issue to be deployed as soon as possible.

Minor Issues

These issues do not effect core functionality and often have workarounds

Unable to clear pending DPIA review requests from In-tray after DPIA has been finalised

Our team are currently working on a fix for this issue so that once a DPIA has been finalised any outstanding requests will be removed from the in-tray.

Export to Excel Button in DPIA Task list not working

Unfortunately this button was added on the front end when the DPIA was built but the functionality was never created. This button will be removed so it does not cause any confusion.

In the future this functionality will be added when we redesign the DPIA tasks during our Modernisation project.

Planned Improvements

These are enhancements that we have planned into the next update

Improved Tooltips in Data Sharing Summary

Clearer tooltips advising on the different ways to add an organisation to a Data Sharing Summary

Reordering of Template Selection in Data Sharing Summary

Presently a Data Sharing Template is selected after the added organisation section. To improve the flow of the page the template selector will move towards the top of the list and will sit between the Data Share Name field and the Add Organisation table.

Enhanced Options for UK/EU GDPR Article 10 in Data Sharing Summary

The options currently available will be reordered so the form flows better. Specific conditions in relation to Part 36 or Article 10 will be enhanced, Law Enforcement purposes and Special Categories will be separated so users are able to provide more detailed information in this category.

Occasional Errors when adding contacts to an Asset

Contacts are now added via the Contacts tab and error no longer occurs.

Removed Discoverability Level

The Discoverability Level question has been removed throughout the system as this question had no functionality and often caused confusion.

Information Asset Register replacing the Inventory

04/02/2025

• All New Asset Question set – The IAR contains a new question set created with help from the ISG User Community. Information that you have already input into the Inventory will automatically pull across to the new format.

• Asset Contributor Management – Similar to the DPIA module we have implemented a contributor system to aid with collaboration and approval of an asset.

• Tasks System – Need a contributor within an asset to action a question, risk or anything else? Assign them a task to be completed.

• Risk Assessment Table – Users can create risks linked to any question within the Asset Register or standalone risks.

• Approval Workflow

  • Review Date – Select a custom date allowing you the flexibility to adapt to your organisation's needs.

  • Approval Requests – Users can send contributors requests to approve/reject an asset.

  • Approval History – Shows in detail all approval actions within an asset.
